The LiveMove Speaker Series brings some of the most exciting names in sustainable transportation and sustainable urbanism from across the United States to come and speak in Eugene-Springfield. Speakers give presentations on a wide range of topics, from bicycle infrastructure to advocacy, rural transportation to autonomous vehicles. Previous speakers have included Gil Peñalosa of 8-80 Cities, April Economides of Green Octopus Consulting, and James Coorless of Transportation for America. These events are well advertised, open to the public and held at various locations in the local area.
In addition to an evening lecture, speakers often participate in a bike ride or transit tour with members of LiveMove or participate in workshops with local stakeholders who have interest in their specialization. This program provides knowledge to an interested general public in Eugene-Springfield and in depth knowledge for stakeholders who can use that information to implement real change in the community. To facilitate this series, LiveMove provides travel and accommodation to its speakers. If you are interested in speaking with LiveMove, please don't hesitate to contact our speaker series co-ordinator on the contact page.
